A
Flourescent yellow canopy

Flourescent yellow canopy enhances visibility from a distance. The material is further certified according to the High Visibility Norm EN471 for traffic visibility.
| B
Buoancy chambers

VIKING’s liferafts have
two independent buoyancy chambers, both of which can support the load for the entire liferaft. A puncture in one chamber will not affect the whole liferafts buoyancy. | C
Two liferaft entrances

The liferaft has an opening on both sides to improve visibility and aid orientation. One opening is placed higher up and is designed to make it easier to jump into the raft and to be hoisted directly from the raft by helicopter. |
|
D
Two windows with curtains

Two windows with curtains provide a view of the horizon which minimizes seasickness and eases lookout for rescuers without opening the liferaft and risking cooling down.
| E
Boarding ramp

VIKING’s special U-shaped boarding ramp is designed for quick, easy and safe boarding. The upper surface is orange to make it easier to see in poorer visibility. | F
Handles

The improved RescYou Pro has a handle placed above the boarding ramp to facilitate easy and quick boarding. |
|
G
Rainwater collector

The rainwater collector provides
a supplementary source of drinking water, to help preserve the water rations already provided in the emergency kit.
| H
Lifelines

VIKING’s liferafts have lifelines both inside and outside the raft. Interior lifelines help occupants stabilise themselves during heavy seas. | I
4 large ballast bags

Each of the 4 large ballast bags has a 60 litre capacity, which makes the liferaft much more stable, even in very heavy seas.
|
|
I
CO2 bottle

The CO2 bottle contains
sufficient gas to inflate the liferafts even at temperatures
as low as minus 15°C.
| K
Heavy door closures

The doors are closed by a heavy duty, durable zipper with two slides. | L
Blue inner lining

The blue inner lining calms and reduces seasickness. (feature required on SOLAS liferafts). |
|
 | | |
M
Inflatable double floor

The floor of the RescYouTM Pro can be inflated to protect occupants against the cold water. Its thermal properties give extra protection against hypothermia.
| N
Interior and exterior light

Both lights can be switched on and off and use long-life lithium batteries. The flashing exterior light is 4.3 Candela bright and can be seen from a long distance. | O
Interior top up valves

Temperature changes effects how much volume the CO2 gas fills, and therefore how full the liferaft chambers are. Top up valves inside the liferaft allow for easy inflation.
|
|
P
Floating safety knife

The blunted safety knife, to prevent accidental puncture,
is designed to float and is attached to a long line to prevent it from becoming lost. | Q
Sea Anchor

The extra large sea anchor has a diameter of 600mm and provides maximum anchorage to prevent drifting. | R
Rescue quoit

The rescue quoit is steel reinforced to prevent it breaking when hauling a
person in. |
|
S
Pressure relief valves

Pressure relief valves are located outside the liferaft to ensure that any excess CO2 released is not emitted into the liferaft. They are easily accessible from inside the liferaft. | | |
