Polar Solutions

VIKING offers a full range of safety products specially designed for frozen waters and harsh Polar environments.

There is a great deal of international interest in the Polar regions, however severe winters can limit rescue operations. Many products need special features to function reliably in extremely low temperatures. Fog makes evacuation by helicopter unsafe and winter ice makes the use of free fall lifeboats impossible.

VIKING has therefore modified its already proven offshore chute system to cope with the special conditions encountered when evacuating by chute directly to sea or onto deck of standby vessels, ice breakers etc. VIKING also offers special patented Polar liferaft heated containers; immersion and anti-exposure suits; thermal protective lifejackets and survival kits (group and personal).

Polar liferafts and containers
